Mesh and Curve Modelling
When it comes to object modelling for 3D printing or reverse engineering, Cape Survey can produce 3D models from 3D scan data in various methods.
Mesh Modelling: A mesh model represents points in 3D space connected by line segments to form a polygon mesh. Polygonal meshes are convenient because they are lightweight, and visualizations can be rendered quickly.
Curve Modelling: This type of modelling relies on curves to generate surface geometry. Curve modelling can be both parametric or freeform and relies on NURBS (nonuniform rational B-splines) to describe surface forms.
